Ashley Amanda Alston was initiated at East Carolina University in Spring 2009 as a second-generation member. She graduated from ECU with a bachelor’s degree in communications with a focus in public relations.

As a graduate member, Ashley has served Psi Sigma Omega as Vice-President, Parliamentarian, and has served on numerous committees. 

Ashley is passionate about people, understanding that in many ways we are all connected. Professionally, her work in politics keeps her engaged with constituents to ensure equitable practices for all. What brings her the most joy is creating safe spaces for those around her. 

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, noting Cuba as her most influential cultural experience to date. She also enjoys puzzles, cooking, and curling up with a new book. 

She shares a home with her partner, Veronique Pope, and their 12-year old shitzu-poodle, Bridgette.
