We would like to welcome you to our site. We are the phenomenal women of the Psi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ® We are enthusiastic and committed to the endeavor before us, which is to serve the Johnston County communities of Garner, Clayton, and Smithfield, as well as the surrounding areas.


We will bring this vision into fruition by contributing our skills, knowledge, and abilities, as well as initiating and participating in activities that will support our national program platforms. We will welcome and discover new opportunities that will provide outreach and service to our communities, while fostering and  promoting positive sisterly relations amongst our group and all members of our sorority.

The members of Psi Sigma Omega are committed to enriching the lives of citizens of Johnston County and the surrounding areas. Our programs are dedicated to meeting the targeted goals set forth by our International Office while simultaneously meeting the needs of our community.

Back to School Youth Explosion

2 pm until 5 pm

*Free haircuts and braids (All hair must be clean and untangled. All hair services end at 4:30 pm).

*Free school supplies and backpacks

*Free food and entertainment.

To be held at the Clayton Community Center located at 715 Amelia Church Road Clayton, NC.

This event is sponsored by Smithfield Parks and Recreation. The purpose is to empower and education youth on the resources and support available at HBCU's.
